The short answer is no - this is no more dangerous than any other type of exercise or sport. In fact, because we do not fall into the repetitive movement patterns of all specialized sports, some evidence suggests that this is a safer way to train.

That isn't to suggest there is no risk involved - there is. But everything we do carries risks. For example, you are far more likely to be seriously hurt every time you get into your car, but that is a routine, so you don't think about it. You are far less likely to twist an ankle if all you do is sit on the couch, but that kind of sedentary lifestyle is extremely dangerous over the long term.

We mitigate the risk as much as possible by applying good athletic programming and principles of slow progression. You will probably end up with a few bruises, but we think all the fun you'll have makes up for it!
