While the FMS is a great diagnostic tool, it is not a method of improving movement abilities in and of itself. After you get screened and we identify some weak links and/or asymmetries we can then start working on some corrective exercises. These exercises will fix and improve your movement patterns which will lead to better performance and fewer injuries. Everyone's corrective exercise prescription will be a little different, which is why we have to do FMS and corrective exercise sessions as private appointments.

**One note on corrective exercise: it's very easy to get stuck in a "corrective exercise vortex" where you spend all your time correcting. We want to make sure you deal with potentially harmful movement dysfunctions and asymmetries, but we are not going for perfection. At a certain point you need to get back to "regular" training.
