This weekend was madness, in the best possible way. Our Fifth Ape Meetups continue to grow - in addition to our parkour/natural method workshop on Saturday, we had our first barefoot run today. We had 9 runners in total, and everyone did a great job - I was very impressed that many went pure barefoot - great job everyone!

In preparation for the weekend's activities, Fifth Ape stalwarts Anna and Eric joined newcomer Ally and myself on Friday for a delightful trip to the quarry - a beautiful swimming hole tucked away in Eno River State Park. I brought the camera along with every intention of making a water training video, but I only remembered to start filming after we were done swimming.  So instead, here is a montage of all the fun we had afterwards.

The day was an absolute blast - further proof that primal, practical, playful exercise is best when shared with a community of great people and a generous helping of laughter.

Oh, I also learned that taking an Eagle Scout into the woods with you is a really good idea.
